17 Schaad Qualifies for Nationals in the 17 Open Division!
Rachel Fortner, Rachel Garnett, Rachel Cogan, Rachel Vidourek, Annie Bierman, Courtney Grafton, Sam Fry, Abbey Bessler, and Sarah Wandtke qualified for the 2nd year in a row at the MEQ!  The girls gathered wins over the 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 7th seeds before losing to the eventual champion in the semi-final.

2012 USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Championships (GJNC) to
Columbus, Ohio from June 28 to July 7 at the Greater Columbus Convention
Center.

16 Schaad started out 1-2 on Day 1 in the 1st leg of an 8 team pool.  The girls responded on Day 2 with 3 consecutive wins including a 2-0 win over the defending National Champion Invasion VBC.  On Day 3 the girls earned a "must have" 2-0 win in their final match of pool play to take 2nd place in the pool overall (a huge accomplishment with the #3 and #6 team in the country in the pool).   It the Championship round the girls lost to KU`IKAHI 16 RoShamBo from Hawaii and then to Orange County 16 Blue from California to finish 11th in the country.  The eventual 2011 National Champion was Mizuno Long Beach 16 Rockstar a team which Elevation played and beat at the Mideast Qualifier early in the year.  Great season girls!

Finishing 3rd on Day 1 forced our girls to battle back on day 2 and they went 4-0 with a win over Sports Performance 14 Elite in the Silver Final
